Our diets these days are rich in
carbohydrates, increasing insulin, and omega 6. High insulin levels
drive the conversion of omega 6 fats into arachidonic acid. This acid
is toxic and your body attempts to get it out of blood circulation by
inserting it into
fat cells. As the concentrations become higher it divides,
making more
fat cells,
so that the toxicity will remain low and non lethal to the
cell. The body still needs to prevent this toxin from entering into
the bloodstream so it steps up insulin production, forcing more
arachidonic acid into the fat cells.
Eventually, concentrations of arachidonic acid go past a certain level
and kill a fat cell. This causes the surrounding fat cells to
increase their insulin resistance and the cycle continues. As the fat
cells die arachidonic acid begins to enter into the bloodstream. Now
even worse problems can evolve than gaining weight.
The immune system tries to shut this
substance down by attempting to kill and destroy everything in
its path: organs, tissues and everything else gets attacked
and damaged. This attack by the immune system results in
the fatal diseases
that we see today.
Omega 3
fatty
acids essentially reduce inflammation
and this toxic
immune system response.
